14-DAYS MCO STARTING 13 JAN IN SABAH

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah, four other states, as well as all federal territories will be undergoing another round of movement control order (MCO) for 14 days starting 13 Jan, at 12am, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced today.
Other affected states include Penang, Melaka, Johor, Selangor and federal territories Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan.
Speaking during a special address aired live today, Muhyiddin said inter-district travel is strictly prohibited for these affected areas.
Roadblocks will also take place starting at 12.01 am, on Wednesday.
Under MCO, the movement would only be limited to a radius of 10km from a person's home where only two from a household are allowed to leave home to buy necessities. Eateries outlet and food stalls are permitted to operate only for takeaways.
Meanwhile, six states will be placed under conditional movement control order (CMCO) are Pahang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan.
Sarawak and Perlis will be placed under a 14-day recovery movement control order (RMCO).
To curb the spread of Covid-19, social gatherings such as wedding ceremonies, gathering, religious parade (Thaipusam), meetings, seminars, courses and group sports are also prohibited.
However, social activities will be allowed in Sarawak and Perlis subject to strict compliance of standard operating procedures (SOP).
