AirAsia Introduces 'Easy Cancel' Feature for Greater Travel Flexibility

KUALA LUMPUR: Changing travel plans just got easier as AirAsia MOVE has launched Easy Cancel, a new add-on feature allowing guests to cancel their AirAsia flights up to 48 hours before departure and receive a refund within ten days.

Available exclusively on the AirAsia MOVE app, Easy Cancel enables travellers to book with confidence by offering the flexibility to cancel their flights for any reason — no questions asked.

AirAsia, in a statement today, said the new feature is designed to adapt to the dynamic needs of modern travellers, whether due to unexpected schedule changes or personal circumstances.

“With Easy Cancel, guests can choose between 80% or 100% refund coverage, which also includes add-ons such as baggage, meals, and other fees,” the airline said.

The option must be selected at the time of booking and cannot be added later through the Manage Booking section. To purchase Easy Cancel, users must select their flights, input passenger details, and click ‘Continue to Add-Ons,’ then proceed by clicking ‘Continue’ again and selecting Easy Cancel from the list of available options.

The feature is applicable on all AirAsia routes, except flights bound for South Korea and domestic routes within Indonesia. For AirAsia X (D7) long-haul routes, such as Kuala Lumpur to Almaty and Sydney, Easy Cancel is expected to be available by the end of May.
