Bringing back local talent to Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: Revitalizing local talent in Sabah was a key agenda during the meeting between Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor and Human Resources Minister Steven Sim at Sri Gaya yesterday.

Sim informed the Chief Minister that his Ministry, through HRD Corp, is committed to addressing the issue of brain drain in Sabah by actively attracting local talent back to the state.

The meeting also explored the potential establishment of a rehabilitation center by the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) for its contributors in Sabah.

Accompanying Sim were Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe, Kota Kinabalu MP Chan Foong Hin, Tanjung Papat Assemblyman Datuk Frankie Poon, Sabah Labour Department Director Wan Zulkifli Wan Setapa, PERKESO Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Sri Dr Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed, and PERKESO Rehabilitation Centre Chief Executive Officer Datuk Dr Hafez Hussain.
