Close cooperation needed for party to succeed

KIULU: Local parties operating independently cannot make a significant impact because Sabah requires close cooperation to address political and economic challenges.
Kiulu State Assemblyman Datuk Joniston Bangkuai stated that a solo approach is not only unproductive but can also weaken efforts to steer Sabah towards more sustainable development.
He said the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), which serves as a platform for eight local parties, is the best option because it offers a stable and robust platform to meet the aspirations of the people.
He added that GRS is an inclusive alliance that can make it a strong political partner, not only in Sabah but also at the national level.
He made these remarks at the inauguration and handover of the Pukak Village Cultural and Craft Centre here today.
Joniston, who is also the Information Chief of GRS and Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), emphasized that the strength of GRS lies in the strong unity among the eight local parties under the coalition.
"This strategic cooperation gives GRS a significant advantage in ensuring political stability and ongoing development in Sabah.
"GRS is the best example of how political unity can bring about significant change, and we can certainly see GRS becoming the dominant political force in the upcoming Sabah State Election (PRN)," added Joniston.
He urged the people to continue supporting GRS, which is committed to bringing political stability and advocating for the interests of the people of Sabah.
Earlier, Joniston inaugurated the Pukak Village Cultural and Craft Center located near the recreational area by the Kiulu River.
This centre serves as a platform for villagers to promote their culture and handicrafts to visitors and tourists.
This initiative aligns with the goals of community tourism, focusing on empowering rural residents and preserving the traditional values of the local community through cultural activities and craft-making.
