COVID-19: 303 NEW CASES RECORDED IN SABAH

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah reported a total of 303 new Covid-19 cases today, a slight decrease compared with yesterday's cases at 348.
In a statement today, Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said the latest addition added up the cumulative total of infections in Sabah to 47,442 cases.
Kota Kinabalu registered the highest number of new cases at 49, followed by Tawau (36), Lahad Datu (35), Penampang (17), Kinabatangan (17), Kudat (15), Ranau (15), Keningau (14), Putatan (12), Sandakan (11) and Tuaran (11).
Districts that recorded single-digit new cases involve Kota Belud (seven cases), Kalabakan (seven cases), Kunak (six cases), Telupid (four cases), Kuala Penyu (four cases), Kota Marudu (four cases), Beaufort (three cases), Pitas (three cases), Nabawan (two cases), Sipitang (one case) and Tenom (one case).
Beluran, Tambunan, Semporna and Tongod did not register any case today.
The minister said, a total of 403 patients have recovered from Covid-19, bringing the tally of recoveries in the state to 43,209.
There are a total of 2,697 individuals who are currently under treatment with 815 of them in the hospitals, 1,880 at the Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centres, and two at the temporary detention centre.
"Ninety-two patients are in the intensive care unit (ICU) with 25 requiring ventilator support," he said.
No cluster or death related to Covid-19 in the state were reported today.
