COVID-19: SABAH RECORDS 64 NEW CASES, ONE DEATH

KOTA KINABALU: As of March 9, Sabah has registered a total of 53,621 Covid-19 cases including 64 new cases reported today.
Sabah's Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Masidi Manjun said Kota Kinabalu reported one Covid-19 death today.
Kota Kinabalu recorded the highest number of new cases with 19, followed by Kota Marudu (10), Telupid (seven), Keningau (six), Kudat (five), Nabawan and Tuaran each with three cases, Kalabakan, Sandakan and Beluran each with two cases, and Putatan, Tawau, Kota Belud, Kunak and Kinabatangan each with one case.
Meanwhile, districts that did not record any new case are Penampang, Ranau, Tenom, Pitas, Papar, Lahad Datu, Kuala Penyu, Semporna, Sipitang, Tambunan, Beaufort and Tongod.
"A total of 121 patients have recovered from Covid-19, bringing the tally of statewide recoveries to 52,411.
"Meanwhile, a total of 584 patients are still receiving treatment with 210 in the hospitals, 374 in Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centres," he said in a statement today,.
Masidi who is also the Local Government and Housing Minister added that 19 patients are receiving treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) with eight patients ventilated.
He also stated that a total of 14,065 individuals have received their first dose of Covid-19 jab, including 2,178 patients vaccinated today.
