COVID: 3,680 NEW CASES, SEVEN DEATHS WEDNESDAY - HEALTH DG

KUALA LUMPUR: Another 3,680 new COVID-19 cases were recorded today, taking the country’s infection tally to 194,114 cases, 42,389 of them active. Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said of the new cases, 3,647 were local transmissions while six more were import cases who got infected abroad. “Johor reported the highest number of cases with 1,069, followed by Selangor (822), Kuala Lumpur (698) and Sabah with 295,” he said in a statement on COVID-19 developments today.
Dr Noor Hisham said 1,858 recoveries were reported today, taking the country’s recovery tally to 151,018 cases so far. However, there were also seven fatalities reported overnight, all involving Malaysians, with the death toll now at 707 cases. - Bernama
