DAPSY Sabah to Hold Annual Convention on January 19

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Democratic Action Party Socialist Youth (DAPSY Sabah) will host its 2025 Annual Ordinary Convention on Sunday, January 19, at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).

In a statement today, Chan Loong Wei, Secretary of DAPSY Sabah, announced that the meeting will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Members from across the state are expected to gather with enthusiasm to discuss the future direction and priorities of the party's youth wing.

Chan confirmed that Woo Kah Leong, the DAPSY National Chief, is expected to attend the event, and Phoong Jin Zhe, the Sabah DAP Chairman, will officiate the opening ceremony.

This year's convention will feature leadership elections for DAPSY Sabah, with the nomination process having concluded on December 25, 2024.

Reports indicate that a unified team has been nominated by all divisions throughout Sabah, demonstrating a spirit of solidarity and a shared commitment to advancing DAPSY Sabah’s growth and addressing the concerns of the people.

Chan urged all representatives to arrive at the venue by 8:30 a.m. for registration and requested that attendees wear party uniforms or white shirts with black trousers. Members are also reminded to bring their party membership cards or identification. The meeting will commence at 10am sharp.
