Donggongon UPKO Branch Officially Launched

PENAMPANG: The United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) Donggongon branch was officially launched here today, marking a significant advancement in the party's engagement with the local community.
The event was officiated by Datuk Donald Mojuntin, Chairman of UPKO Penampang, who emphasised the importance of this new branch in reinforcing UPKO's commitment to the people of Penampang.
In his opening address, David Ng, the Chairman of the UPKO Donggongon branch, outlined the branch's three core priorities:
Ng stated that investing in the youth is paramount. "Youth are our future," he emphasised.
"We must prioritize their education, equip them with the skills needed in today's economy, and inspire them to actively shape our society's future."
Recognizing Penampang's vast potential, Ng underscored the need to support local businesses, enhance infrastructure, and promote sustainable practices.
"By doing so, we can ensure economic growth while preserving our natural beauty and cultural heritage," he added.
Ng reaffirmed UPKO's dedication to being a party that listens to the rakyat.
"This branch will be a strong advocate for policies that genuinely reflect the aspirations of the people," he stated.
Donald congratulated Ng and his team for successfully establishing the Donggongon branch.
He highlighted the critical role of political engagement in driving development in Penampang.
"Through political unity and collective effort, we can accelerate development in Penampang," said Donald.
"The unity of the people in this region is the foundation upon which we will build a brighter future."
He also expressed confidence that UPKO will contest and succeed in the Moyog constituency in the upcoming elections, further solidifying the party's commitment to the district.
The opening of the Donggongon branch heralds a new chapter for UPKO in its mission to empower communities, drive sustainable development, and amplify the voices of the rakyat.
