Ewon holds charity visit at Penampang rehab centre

PENAMPANG: Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for the Penampang parliamentary seat for the 15th General Election (GE15) Datuk Ewon Benedick, held a charity visit at the Penampang Community Based Rehabilitation Center (PDK) yesterday.

He was accompanied by Deputy Chief Division of UPKO Penampang Carl Moosom, Women Chief of UPKO Penampang Felimena Andreas as well as members of the party.

Ewon said he always cares for the welfare and needs of all groups of society including the special need children and hopes that more people will come forward to help those groups.

During the visit, he also handed out gifts in the form of food to 30 children at the centre. At the same time, he agreed to donate five wheelchairs for the children.

After the programme, he also spent time paying his last respects to the late Benjamin Hea Yong, husband of Rita Mojilis at Kg. Kobusak, here.

Earlier, Ewon met traders, visitors and PH Penampang leaders at Jia Hua Food Court Bundusan, here.

Last Thursday night, the UPKO Vice President also visited and had a friendly conversation with the residents of Kampung Mongkusilad, here.

Ewon expressed hope that the Penampang community will give him support and opportunities to serve in the area.
