KOTA BELUD: Kadamaian State Assemblyman Datuk Ewon Benedick has spent time inspecting the activities of rural stalls in his constituency on Thursday.
He visited the stalls in Kg Sumbilingon and greeted a group of mothers who took up the chance to conduct businesses at the stalls.
"Last year, I channelled the allocation to build these rural stalls and thankfully, today, the mothers in this village can sell and earn extra income through these stalls," he said.
Ewon also visited a gotong-royong activity among Kg Pangi residents to build a new rural stall for a similar purpose.
"Under the assemblyman's Sentuhan Kasih programme, I have agreed to channel an allocation to build a new rural stall in this village.
"I have started supporting the construction of rural stalls in several Kadamaian villages since the time I assumed my duty as an assemblyman in 2018.
"I believe such rural economic activities, although seemingly small, are important for mothers in the villages to generate additional income."
Earlier, he donated a field plowing machine for the use of farmers in Kg Sukang.
