EWON TAKES PART IN KADAMAIAN WELFARE PROGRAMME

KOTA BELUD: Kadamaian State Assemblyman Datuk Ewon Benedick has joined Kadamaian Welfare Club to present donations in the form of food and kitchen necessities to 15 recipients in Kampung Lobong-Lobong here, today.
The 'Ziarah Kasih' programme held in conjunction with the Ramadan and Harvest Festival month is a yearly activity by the club led by its chairman Shainim Epin.
In support of the club's activities and programmes, Ewon has contributed via his assembly's Sentuhan Kasih (Touchpoints) programme to enable them to carry out community activities in the Kadamaian area.
"Today, I together with Kadamaian Welfare Club members through the Ziarah Kasih programme have contributed some donations in the form of food and kitchen necessities to the recipients comprising senior citizens, single mothers, people with disabilities (OKU) and those bedridden at home.
"I hope this contribution can ease their burden to some extend. We have to continue carrying out this kind of welfare programme so that more of those in need," he said after the programme.
Meanwhile, Shainim said such programmes will continue to be conducted to assist the needy in the constituency.
"The target group are single mothers, widows, the elderly, the hardcore poor, the disabled and those bedridden at home.
"Apart from the Ziarah Kasih programme, we will be having a breaking fast programme in Kadamaian area as proposed by Datuk Ewon," he said.
The chairman of the club also welcomes Kadamaian youths to join the club and provide assistance to the community in need.
Kota Belud Kadamaian Welfare Club was established in 2019 which aims to help and track target groups such as senior citizens, single mothers, people with disabilities and the poor in Kadamaian.
