Financial packages announced during the MADANI KUSKOP Christmas gathering at Kadamain Square

KOTA BELUD: Datuk Ewon Benedick, the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDC) announced financial packages from agencies under the Ministry In conjunction with the MADANI KUSKOP Community Christmas event at the Kadamaian Square today.
The event, which was officiated by the Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor, saw the Malaysian Entrepreneurship Institute (IKMa) according targeted training and guidance under the IKMa Miracle Programme for 24 months to the Koperasi Minitinduk Kiau Kota Belud Berhad, Koperasi Paka Kota Belud Berhad, and Koperasi Karanahan Kota Belud Sabah Berhad.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Cooperatives Commission (SKM) delivered development assistance totaling RM165,000, along with RM89,000 for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes in the Kadamaian area.
SME Corp offered a Start-Up Business Grant of RM435,000 to three Bumiputera Young Entrepreneurs while Ewon also announced the Young Entrepreneur Fund BizCashPlus financing from SME Bank, amounting to RM600,000 for two entrepreneurs.
Additionally, Tekun provided support through its National Financing Scheme to 393 local entrepreneurs from January to December of this year. Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) reported RM4,940,700 in financing for AIM Partners in the Kadamaian State Assembly from January to December 2024.
In addition, PERNAS extended support under the PERNAS Prihatin Programme, providing glasses for school students. Bank Rakyat offered Micro-i Financing Aid for vendors and small traders (MPPK 2.0), BRPlus-i Financing Aid, and iTEKAD-Rakyatpreneur B40 Financing Aid, totaling RM370,000. They also donated computers to SMK Narinang and SMK Tambulion as part of their CSR initiatives.
The Bank Rakyat Foundation (YBR) contributed RM3 million to the Sabah Educational Development Programme 2025, benefiting three districts classified as economically disadvantaged such as Kota Belud, Kota Marudu, and Kudat. The foundation also provided scholarships for high-performing SPM and STPM students and school assistance to SMK Narinang.
Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) house recipients received the replica house keys while three Tamu Desa were symbolically handed over to the respective leaders of the villages, in the Kadamaian Constituency.
Artists including Rey Kimara, Felix Agus, S.Walley, Marlleynney Fane, and Winnie Kuntip gave enthusiastic performances to entertain the crowd.
A variety of engaging activities were also organised during the event, including exhibitions by KUSKOP agencies, sales of diverse cooperative products, displays from the One District One Industry (SDSI) initiative, MADANI Cooperative and Entrepreneur Sales (JMKU), and lucky draws for fortunate attendees.
