Heavy rain expected to continue until tomorrow

KOTA KINABALU: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) is forecasting heavy rain to continue across Terengganu until tomorrow.

In an alert issued at 12:30 PM today, MetMalaysia also predicts similar weather conditions in Kuantan, Pahang, as well as in Kelantan, affecting the areas of Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang, Pasir Puteh, and Kuala Krai.

A continuous rain advisory has been issued for several locations in Kelantan, including Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Bachok, and Gua Musang, valid until tomorrow.

The advisory also extends to Jerantut, Maran, Pekan, and Rompin in Pahang, as well as Mersing in Johor.

In Sabah, the advisory applies to the Interior regions, including Tambunan, the West Coast, Tawau, Lahad Datu, Sandakan, Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran, and Kudat.

Residents are advised to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions during this period of severe weather.
