‘Jom Sihat’ Programme evokes energetic response

KOTA BELUD: The Jom Sihat 2024 Phase 1 programme has successfully taken place at the Grand Hall of the Ikan Jinak Bombon Tourism Centre in Kampung Melangkap Tiong here.

The closing ceremony and formal launch of the programme was officiated by the Community Development Leader (PPM) from tge Kadamaian State Assembly Service Centre, Saikom Watis.

He represented Kadamaian State Assemblyman Datuk Ewon Benedick, who is also the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDC).

The main objective of the event was to introduce the Jom Sihat programme (Let's Be Healthy Programme), which offers a diverse range of activities promoting health and wellness, including walking, participation in exhibitions, and herb-making competitions.

In addition to these activities, the programme provided participants with valuable information about health and guidance on adopting a healthier lifestyle. Those who successfully achieved weight loss goals were recognised with awards, celebrating their commitment to improving their well-being.

The atmosphere was further enlivened by energetic Zumba sessions and relaxing karaoke activities, creating a festive and engaging environment. The organising chairperson, N. Florrist Risee Jainggin, along with community leader Anichlose Kesimin, were present to lend their support to this vibrant event.

Overall, the programme received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the local community, effectively promoting a healthy lifestyle and encouraging ongoing participation in physical activities as part of daily life.
