Karatedo gets funds from MP

PENAMPANG: The Shitoryu Karatedo Association of Sabah was pleased to receive a generous financial contribution from Datuk Ewon Benedick, the Member of Parliament for Penampang, today.


This funding is aimed at supporting the association's participation in the upcoming North Borneo Open Karatedo Championship, scheduled to take place on November 23 of this year. The championship will be held at the prestigious Hongkod Koisaan Hall within the Kadazandusun Cultural Association (KDCA).


Representing the association, Maxolvin Sintore expressed deep appreciation for the assistance provided, highlighting the importance of such support in enabling their athletes to compete and showcase their skills on a larger stage.


Ewon was represented by Jennifer Toyou, the Service Centre Officer for the P. 174 Penampang Parliament, who was instrumental in facilitating this contribution.


In response to the generous donation, the association's representatives conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to Ewon, acknowledging that this contribution not only helps the athletes but also reflects the leader's genuine commitment to the development of youth sports in the community.


It shows his dedication and concern for the wellbeing of the people he serves, reinforcing the spirit of community and support in fostering local talent.
