KOKINAPRO: New Gold Savings Store Opens

PENAMPANG: The opening of the Koperasi Kinabalu Progresif Sabah (KOKINAPRO) Bhd is a lucrative move in non-tradional business sector.

Marcellus Tambud Supreme Council Member of United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) and Vice Chief of UPKO P.175 Papar said that this shows that the cooperative sector is not limited to traditional fields such as retail, agriculture, and livestock.

He extended his congratulations to Datuk Donald Mojuntin, Chairman of KOKINAPRO Bhd, and all members of the Cooperative Board on the official opening ceremony of the new progressive gold shop, 'GOLD SAVINGS'.

It was officiated by Datuk Ewon Benedick, Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDC) Malaysia recently.

Marcellus highlighted that the cooperative movement is a vital driver of the country's economic development.

He noted that cooperatives not only contribute to the growth of the business and entrepreneurial sectors but also empower communities through various business initiatives.

He further pointed out that KOKINAPRO's involvement in the gold savings business demonstrates that the cooperative sector is also capable of venturing into asset investment areas like gold.

This initiative is expected to open up new business opportunities that have yet to be explored.

Marcellus also praised MEDC for its ongoing support of cooperative efforts in all business sectors they engage in.
