Let Ewon serve as chairman of PH Sabah until his term ends

TENOM: Junik Bajit, the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) chief for Tenom, has expressed strong support for Datuk Ewon Benedick as the Chairman of Pakatan Harapan (PH) Sabah.

Bajit emphasised that all members of UPKO Tenom fully endorse Ewon’s election, which was conducted through a democratic process.

"This is a choice made by the members through voting," he stated.

"There is no justification for anyone to demand that this position be returned to PKR. Ewon has received a clear mandate to serve as Chairman until 2026."

He urged all stakeholders to respect the democratic outcome and allow Ewon to fulfill his role as Chairman of PH Sabah for the duration of his term.

"I call on all parties to honour this democratic decision and adhere to the will of the majority," he added.

"Should anyone wish to pursue this position, they are welcomed to put themselves forward for election once Datuk Ewon's term ends in 2026."
