Masidi receives courtesy call from US Embassy delegation

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun discussed various issues and topics with a delegation from the United States Embassy, led by Economic Counselor, Susan Riggs, at his office in Kota Kinabalu on Wednesday.

The meeting covered Sabah’s current economic, political and social developments, future plans of the State Government, tourism industry, energy production and supply, food security, oil and gas industry, digital communication, manufacturing and public interest matters.

“I am happy that Sabah maintains good working and social relations with the United States and I welcome the delegation from the US Embassy with hopes that more US-Sabah business and economic opportunities will materialise in the near future,” Masidi said.

Also present at the meeting were US Embassy Economic Officer Michael Marcous, Economic Specialist Sharon Tan and Ministry of Finance Permanent Secretary Datuk Mohd Sofian Alfian Nair.
