KOTA KINABALU: Massive landslide has swept down the parking space at the National Park Kundasang, Ranau this morning around 8am.

It was learned that the landslide at KM 51.4 of the Kota Kinabalu-Sandakan road was due to continuous heavy downpour.

However, the road is still impassable but motorists can opt for alternative route at Jalan Bundu Tuhan-Kinasaraban.

Sabah Public Work Department (PWD) Director Inseyur Haji Ali Ahmad Hamid said the landslide has left a 100-meter gap on the road and has instructed the PWD branch in Cerun to take swift action on the matter.

Motorists who will use the route are advised to be extra careful.
