14 October 2024

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia International Furniture Fair (MIFF), recognized as the premier B2B furniture event in Southeast Asia, is poised for a remarkable opening as it ushers in the Asia 2025 buying season.

With an impressive 85% of exhibition space already booked six months in advance, MIFF is on track for another sell-out event.

Scheduled to take place from March 1 to 4, the fair will be hosted at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) and the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL). Trade buyers are now invited to register for this significant event, which will showcase the 31st edition of MIFF.

This year’s fair promises to feature a diverse array of exhibitors from Malaysia and around the globe, presenting their latest products and innovative trends across 17 exhibition halls, covering over 100,000 square meters. Potential clients are urged not to miss the opportunity to connect with industry leaders and explore the future of furniture design at MIFF 2025.

After an impressive three decades, the Malaysia International Furniture Fair (MIFF) continues to stand as the largest furniture marketplace in Southeast Asia, particularly renowned for its extensive offerings in office furniture.

As a key highlight in the industry calendar, MIFF serves as the premier export platform for Malaysia's esteemed wood furniture, making it an essential event for international buyers in search of high-quality, sustainable products that exemplify excellence and innovation.

This year, MIFF proudly celebrated its landmark 30th anniversary, featuring a record-breaking 715 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, and achieving on-site orders totaling US$1.28 billion.

The event attracted nearly 20,000 visitors, with a notable 6 percent increase in international attendees, totaling 5,419 from 120 countries and regions.

Organised by Informa Markets Malaysia, MIFF is enhancing its engagement across all touchpoints to elevate the customer experience, with a strong focus on business growth, networking opportunities, and hospitality.

"As a pivotal event in Asia's furniture calendar, MIFF is the gateway for business and cross border opportunities for global growth. Our plan is to elevate the experience to the next level for exhibitors and buyers that evolves around their needs. We want to inspire more fun on the aisles and get more business done, this is where it all happens,” Kelie Lim the MIFF General Manager shared.

"It is very heartening for MFA to work as Strategic Partner of MIFF for the past 12 years in facing the challenges of the furniture export industry, particularly in the post pandemic era. The innovative approach of the show has kept it resilient and it continues as a vital platform for Malaysian furniture makers to engage face-to-face with buyers and prospective partners from all over the world. We will keep strengthening our product offerings and variety to meet the changing consumer preferences," Steve Ong, President of the prominent Muar Furniture Association (MFA) said.

The growth momentum of MIFF is stronger than ever after it became the first trade show in Asia to resume physically in 2022. More exhibitors and high purchasing buyers are returning to expand the customer base or seek more suppliers for procurement opportunities to mitigate risks and stay competitive.

The show remains robust with extensive offerings of marketable and stylish designs for all kinds of furniture that resonate with modern urban living, office and commercial settings.
