KUALA LUMPUR: The MR DIY Foundation has partnered with Food4u to distribute food packs to the homeless in two locations around Kuala Lumpur. This programme is part of a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative aligned with the "Raya Penuh Makna" celebration for 2025, aimed at strengthening relationships, sharing joy, and creating meaningful memories.
The primary focus of this initiative is to assist the homeless community, who often face challenges in obtaining sufficient and nutritious food on a daily basis.
The distribution of these food packs took place on 25 March 2025, at the Medan Tuanku Homeless Service Centre, and continued on 27 March 2025, at Jalan Sayur, Pudu. A total of 600 food packs were prepared and distributed, containing biryani rice, cream biscuits, bread, and mineral water.
Tony, a representative from Food4u, expressed his gratitude, stating, "We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to the foundation for their cooperation in providing assistance to those in need. We hope this effort not only alleviates their burden but also inspires others to step forward and help the less fortunate."
This food pack donation initiative reflects the commitment of both organisations to not only assist those in need but also raise community awareness about the importance of sharing resources, fostering human values, and instilling a sense of concern for the less fortunate, regardless of religious or racial background.
The MR DIY Foundation also welcomes the involvement of various groups to join in efforts to support communities in need, as collective concern and cooperation can lead to more impactful and comprehensive change.
In addition to food donations to the homeless, MR DIY Foundation has launched various other programmes as part of the "Raya Penuh Makna" initiative. These include activities with children from welfare homes, volunteer efforts, and community projects.
