Penampang UPKO Youth Supports Datuk Donald Peter Mojuntin as the Candidate for the Moyog State Seat in the 17th Sabah State Election

PENAMPANG: The United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) Youth of the Penampang Division, led by their Chief, Billy Joe Dominic, has unanimously expressed support for Datuk Donald Peter Mojuntin as the Chief of UPKO Penampang Division and Deputy President of UPKO Malaysia.

Datuk Mojuntin is to contest for the Moyog State Assembly seat in the 17th Sabah State Election, which is likely to be held in September, October, or November 2025.

Billy Joe is supported by Cornileus Fred, the Deputy Youth Chief; Michael Fadillah, the Youth Secretary; Herman Amat, the Youth Treasurer; Billy Jinawat, the Youth Information Secretary; and Belly Stephen Ajis, the Youth Organising Secretary, along with committee members of the Penampang UPKO Youth.

This includes Francis Xavier @ Oliver, Rajani Paul Balachandran, Robert Servarious, Charlton Anam, Leo Arthur, Calveen Petrus, Terrence Suis, Adrian Naintin, Roynston Rupert, and Malion Edward Badil as well as two new members, Jenson Masuin and Mansoor Ahmad Naqeep Bin Bashir Ahmad.

In this context, following discussions at the UPKO Youth Meeting held at the Mahandoi Village Hall in Penampang, the youth expressed their readiness to support Billy Joe in promoting Datuk Donald Peter Mojuntin as their candidate.

They are committed to convincing the public that Datuk Donald Mojuntin is the appropriate candidate to represent the Moyog constituency. They aim to ensure that efforts to assist Datuk Ewon Benedick, the Member of Parliament for Penampang, in carrying out community work and supporting the people will be realised if Datuk Donald Mojuntin wins the Moyog Assembly seat in the upcoming state election.

During the meeting, Billy Joe proposed organising a sports carnival in the Penampang Municipal area, involving all village residents and sports enthusiasts representing their respective polling centres.

This carnival will feature events such as football for children under 12, Sepak Takraw, arm wrestling, tug of war, race, e-sports, and a singing competition organised by the UPKO Youth of Penampang Division, scheduled for August 2025.

All members of the Youth Brigade agreed that planning should commence this year for all Penampang residents, aiming to strengthen friendships among the residents of Penampang.

Billy Joe also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the unwavering support from Penampang UPKO Youth for fully endorsing the efforts of Datuk Donald Peter Mojuntin, Deputy President of UPKO Malaysia and Chief of UPKO Penampang Division.
