Philanthropist gives to the less fortunate

KOTA KINABALU: A prominent businessman and philanthropist, Azman Ismail, generously presented food baskets to 120 individuals today, at his residence in Keliangau, Manggatal.
Demonstrating his unwavering commitment to supporting the community, he had identified the needy recipients with help from his group called Keliangau Community Association (REAL).
The food baskets, which included a variety of essential foodstuffs and rice, were aimed at providing much-needed assistance to those in need, he said adding that the initiative was organised by REAL, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) where Azman serves as an advisor.

He expressed his hope that these food baskets would make a meaningful difference in the lives of the recipients, offering them some relief.
In his remarks, Azman highlighted the organisation's broader mission, stating that they also extend support to the sick and vulnerable in the Keliangau area.
This ongoing effort reflects Azman's belief in the importance of community service and his dedication to uplifting those who are less fortunate. Through such initiatives, he aims to foster a spirit of compassion and solidarity within the community.

According to him, the donation to the less fortunate had been carried out for many years during the Ramadan month and nearing the Eid al-Ftri so the less fortunate can join in the celebration of the joyous occasion.
"In future, we want to form a cooperative for our young people here especially those who are aspiring entrepreneurs to ensure a good future for them," he said adding that he wanted to encourage young people to enter into entrepreneurship.
According to him, his journey as an entrepreneur has gained him vast experience that he wanted to share with young people and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Presently, REAL led by Chairman Gregory Enih has 30 members comprising of people from all walks of life.
It was registered with the Registrar of Society (ROS) in 2022.
