Residents expressed gratitude for food baskets and visits

PENAMPANG: Rizal Mahatin, speaking on behalf of the residents of Kampung Kopungit, extended heartfelt gratitude to Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe, the Minister of Industrial Development for Sabah and the State Assemblyman for N21 Luyang.

His generous provision of food assistance baskets for the community in celebration of Christmas was deeply appreciated by all.

Representing the Minister, Desmond Chan was on hand to oversee the delivery of the food baskets, which brought joy and relief to many families in the village. Rizal acknowledged the significance of this support during the holiday season, emphasizing how it fosters a sense of community and goodwill among the residents.

In addition, Rizal expressed appreciation for the attendance of Carl Victor Moosom, the Political Secretary to Datuk Ewon Benedick, the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDC). Carl’s presence underscored the importance of the event and highlighted the commitment of local leaders to engage with and support the communities they serve, further strengthening the bonds within Kampung Kopungit.
