SKSMC Donates 33 Patient Beds to Welfare Homes

KLANG: Sri Kota Specialist Medical Centre (SKSMC) has reaffirmed its commitment to community welfare by donating 33 patient beds to two local charitable organisations. These organisations are Persatuan Rumah Kebajikan Rita, a welfare home, and Persatuan Kebajikan Bakul Makanan, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), both located in Klang, Selangor.

This generous donation ensures that residents of the welfare home, as well as individuals supported by the NGO, receive the care and comfort they deserve. This initiative directly addresses a critical need for quality medical support in community-based care settings. It is also an integral part of SKSMC’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, reflecting their deep commitment to serving the community beyond the walls of the hospital.

"By donating these patient beds, we aim to improve the comfort and well-being of those in need. We also encourage corporate and community partnerships to support both welfare homes and NGOs in improving their healthcare facilities and services. Both Persatuan Rumah Kebajikan Rita and Persatuan Kebajikan Bakul Makanan play essential roles in providing shelter and care for the underprivileged, particularly the elderly, disabled individuals, and those requiring long-term medical support. The donation of these 33 patient beds will significantly improve the quality of care provided to their residents.

Malaimaran A/L Letchumanan, the Vice President of Persatuan Rumah Kebajikan Rita, expressed his gratitude: “Many of our residents are elderly and require specialised medical attention. These beds will greatly enhance their comfort and allow us to provide better care. We are deeply grateful to SKSMC for their generosity and support.”
