SOGDC achieves certification for Anti-Bribery Management System

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Oil and Gas Development Corporation (SOGDC) has recently achieved ISO 37001:2016 certification for its Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS), alongside the ISO 9001:2015 certification for its Quality Management System (QMS), as announced by Managing Director Datuk Harun Ismail.

This accomplishment positions SOGDC as one of the first organizations in the state to receive the prestigious ABMS certification.

Harun, who also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of SOGDC, emphasized that these certifications reinforce the company’s standing within the oil and gas industry, marking a significant milestone that reflects SOGDC’s commitment to quality, governance, and integrity.

He noted that these certifications are more than mere accolades; they are a testament to SOGDC’s proactive approach and dedication to operational excellence.

An official certificate handover ceremony was held at SOGDC’s headquarters in Wisma Innoprise, Kota Kinabalu, attended by industry leaders and key stakeholders. Among those present were board member Datuk Mohd Shariff Ibrahim, Teo Thin Hwa from the Ministry of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship, and representatives from Bureau Veritas Malaysia.

Harun celebrated this achievement as a collective success, attributing it to the unwavering dedication of SOGDC’s Board, management, and employees.
