STARSABAH Tuaran Supports Hajiji's Continued Leadership of The Sabah Government
30 December 2024
TUARAN: STARSABAH Tuaran wants Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor to continue leading the Sabah government.
The Chief of STAR N.15 Kiulu, Terence Sinti, stated that since the GRS government took over the administration of the Sabah government after the 16th State Election (PRN16), Sabah under the leadership of the Chief Minister has shown significant improvement, particularly in increasing state government revenue, attracting foreign and domestic investors, and driving positive economic growth.
Since 2021, Sabah has demonstrated a remarkable increase in revenue collection from RM5.449 billion in 2021 to RM6.97 billion in 2023. Sabah has also seen a substantial increase in investment value, ranking as the 7th highest in the country for investments. All this clearly demonstrates that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, Sabah is on a good path to continue advancing towards 2025.
Terence Sinti made these remarks while being met during the Christmas celebration organised by STARSABAH Tuaran recently. Terence Sinti, who also serves as the Organising Secretary of STARSABAH and was the chairman of the Christmas event that evening, further stated in his speech that STARSABAH Tuaran is ready to face the elections expected to be held next year. All the election machinery for STAR at the levels of the Sulaman, Dalit, Tamparuli, and Kiulu state constituencies have been prepared to go out and campaign to ensure that the GRS candidates win in all the constituencies that GRS will contest in the Tuaran parliamentary area.
In addition to the Christmas celebration, the event also included a thanksgiving ceremony to celebrate the recent appointment of Senator Datuk Edward Linggu as a new Member of the Senate. According to Terence Sinti, this appointment is an honour for STARSABAH, especially in the Tuaran district.
"I believe that with this appointment, Senator Datuk Edward Linggu will play a very important role in championing the voices of the people, especially in this Tuaran area, to be brought to the attention of the federal government. I am confident that, with his experience, he will amplify the voices of Sabah leaders who want Sabah to be treated more fairly and justly by the federal government and advocate for Sabah's rights, including the Malaysia Agreement (MA63)."
The Christmas celebration was attended by around 150 people, with Senator Datuk Edward Linggu as the guest of honour. Also present were Dr. Paul Porodong, Strategic Director of STARSABAH, Datuk Raymond Tombung, Advisor of STARSABAH, Jordan Jude Ellorn, Head of Wiramuda STARSABAH, Jinitoh Sontori, Head of the STAR Tamparuli Division, Datuk Kapitan Stephen Teo, Head of the Karambunai Division, and Dr. Pro. Henry Banting, Special Media Consultant for STARSABAH.
In addition, the event was enlivened by the presence of Datuk Kalakau Untol, Deputy President of Unified Sabah Dusun (USDA), Madin Anak PPM Tamparuli, Ronny Soon, and Joanna Sue Henley Rampas.
