State Government Determined to Enhance Achievements of SMJ

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor expressed his satisfaction with the achievements of the Sabah Maju Jaya (HTSMJ) 1.0 (2021-2025) and is determined to achieve even better performance.


He stated that the State Government, through its ministries, departments, and agencies, will continue to work diligently to enhance the performance of HTSMJ.


"We will continue to strive for better achievements, particularly for the initiatives that have been planned and are being implemented," he said during the reception of the 2024 Annual Report of HTSMJ 1.0 (2021-2025) at his office in the Sabah State Assembly (DUN) on Monday.


The Chief Coordinating Officer (CCO) of the Sabah Maju Jaya Secretariat under the Chief Minister's Department, Datuk Haji Datu Rosmadi Sulai, presented the report, witnessed by the State Secretary, Datuk Seri Panglima Sr Haji Safar Untong.


Hajiji noted that the 2024 report is an important document summarizing the achievements in implementing key initiatives under the 5-year development framework of HTSMJ 1.0, which is fundamental to the state's socio-economic transformation, including the Blue Economy.


Meanwhile, Rosmadi informed Hajiji that as of April 14, 2025, a total of 446 initiatives have been launched by the ministries and departments under the SMJ 1.0 Plan, with a remarkable overall implementation achievement of 94.47%.


"This achievement reflects the strong commitment of the entire state administration in successfully advancing Sabah's development agenda in an inclusive, sustainable, and impactful manner," he stated.


He added that the submission of this report not only symbolizes the transparency and accountability of the State Government but also marks the progress achieved and the future direction for Sabah as it approaches the final phase of implementing SMJ 1.0 by 2025.


Also present were the Chief Operating Officer of the SMJ Secretariat, Ramlee Kariah, and its Director, Rosnih Othman.
