23 September 2024

KENINGAU: The organising committee for the Taman Bandukan Music Festival 2024 (TBMF2024) convened today to discuss the event to be held on November 29 to December 1 at the Bandukan Park in Keningau.

The meeting was held at the Keningau District Council Meeting Room, chaired by Peter J. Moinjil, the Keningau District Officer and Chairman of the Keningau District Tourism Action Council.

The TBMF2024 will be the third edition of the festival and is expected to be one of the largest ever held.

A variety of exciting events are planned, including band performances, local artists, cultural presentations, a Cultural House Festival, an Eco-Fitness Carnival, The Kiddos Carnival, Drive & Camp, Acoustic Camping, RC Crawler activities, a Dart Competition, concerts, and much more.

Rafie Robert, Chairman of the Tourism and Culture Association and the organising committee, stated that this programme is a continuation of the Crocker Range Festival. Organising such events has a very positive impact on the local economy and attracts more visitors from both outside and within the state to Keningau, thereby promoting local tourism products.

He said the association is committed to developing the local tourism industry by consistently organising more events in the future.

Also present were Mohd. Fawzi Abd. Kadir, Executive Officer of the Keningau District Council, and representatives from various State and Federal Government Departments and Agencies.
