KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd’s (TM) new service installations and service restoration activities at customers’ premises will continue as usual throughout the two-week Movement Control Order (MCO 2.0) which started today.

However in zones under enhanced MCO (EMCO) and Home Surveillance Order (HSO), only critical requirements will be attended to,” it said in a statement today.

TM also assured that its personnel would take the necessary precautionary measures such as temperature checks at the start of their shift and declare their health status before entering customers’ premises.

“In addition, customers will be requested to fill up a Post Work Customer Declaration form to confirm adherence to the standard operating procedures (SOP) by TM installers or the technical team that attended to their service requests,” it said.

Meanwhile, TM said its customer touchpoints, including TMpoint outlets nationwide and TM Contact Centres would remain open, with adherence to the SOP and added safety guidelines.

Group chief executive officer Imri Mokhtar said TM, being the provider of national essential service, would continue its operations as usual “so that everyone can stay home, stay connected, stay entertained, stay informed and stay served during the MCO”.

“If our customers require any service related support, we encourage them to utilise our multiple digital channels and our agents are ever ready to assist,” he said. - Bernama
