PENAMPANG: Four underprivileged pupils from Kampung Kolopis have received much-needed assistance from the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) Penampang Youth Chief, Billy Joe Dominic.
During a handover ceremony yesterday, Billy provided the children, aged 5, 7, and 9, with new school bags and shoes, along with financial support to help them purchase exercise books and stationery.
Speaking at the event, Billy expressed his hope that the contribution would serve as motivation for the children to excel in their studies.
He also emphasized the importance of education in shaping future leaders who will one day champion the aspirations of their communities.
Also present at the event were UPKO Youth Penampang Division Secretary Michael Fadillah and Chairman of the Moyog Penampang Community Welfare Association, Billy Jinawat.
The initiative reflects UPKO Youth Penampang’s ongoing commitment to supporting underprivileged students and ensuring they have the necessary resources to succeed in their education.
