UPKO Youth to organise events to strengthen community ties

PENAMPANG: The United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) Penampang Youth will be organising a series of activities aimed at strengthening community ties.
UPKO Penampang Youth Chief Billy Joe Dominic announced that, in addition to their regular community initiatives such as Gotong Royong and house visits, they will also host various sports activities.
A key event planned is a sports carnival in the Penampang Municipal area, inviting all local residents and sports enthusiasts to participate, representing their respective polling centres.
"This carnival will feature a range of events, including football for children under 12, Sepak Takraw, arm wrestling, tug of war, races, e-sports, and a singing competition. Organised by UPKO Youth of the Penampang Division, the event is scheduled for August 2025," he said.
Additionally, Billy Joe emphasised that UPKO Youth is committed to supporting Datuk Donald Mojuntin, the UPKO Deputy President, in his bid for the Penampang State Seat.
He said this was because he believes in Donald's leadership and capabilities.
"I am sure he is a a good leader that have the people's welfare close to his heart," he stressed.
